Year of Gardens '08 > Business Clusters

Business Clusters

Within the Business Cluster Programme it is intended to create or enhance linkage with 29 Cheshire Gardens as hubs for cluster activity, generating benefits for their natural communities. The Business Cluster Programme has two main objectives:

1)       Maximising revenue opportunities

To create clusters of activity around the 29 gardens of Cheshire by encouraging gardens and local businesses to work closer together to collectively attract more visitors into the region whilst also encouraging visitors to extend their stay.

2)       Improving business performance

To increase business performance by providing free business support and advice, notably a series of workshops, networking sessions and various cluster meetings throughout 2008.

Cluster work will include linkage to events, community engagement, volunteer development, business opportunities, profile and image.

It is hoped that cluster development will be developed through a transferable model as well as providing a legacy of close working between the gardens and their natural communities.
