Year of Gardens '08

Cheshire’s Year of Gardens 08, an affiliate programme to Liverpool European Capital of Culture 08, has been developed by VCC and partners across Cheshire's Gardens of Distinction and surrounding business clusters.

The year long festival will celebrate the rich culture and heritage of the gardens in Cheshire, raising the profile of Cheshire arts, culture and the green environment. Cheshire's Year of Gardens 08 will develop and position Cheshire as a leading destination known for its gardens, achieving national and international recognition.

The programme will be developed across the following inter-related themes:

• A highlight events programme in 2008
• Marketing & Gateways
• Business Clustering
