Ness Botanic Gardens
Inspired by a tool shed tucked away from public view in Ness Gardens and curious about it’s contents, Jac Scott created a virtual shed, presented in skeletal form, an exploration of private and public perceptions of the garden.
From the horizontal frame hang garden tools and pots with silhouettes of scenes from Ness Botanical Gardens and significant words printed onto the surfaces.
The sculpture is created from materials destined for landfill: discarded, plastic tubing from a textile factory; old perspex windows from lifeboats; perspex off-cuts from SAMS a business scrap store in Blackburn, new steel rods; fixings and plastic conduit
Jac has created a photo diary that captures her creative processes in developing Transplant
