Updated Tourism Strategy

Visit Chester & Cheshire have published an update of the Cheshire & Warrington Tourism Strategy, first issued in 2004.

The new version has been produced in consultation with key stakeholders and is entitled ‘Growing our Visitor Economy: a refreshed framework for Cheshire & Warrington to 2015’ with the subtitle ‘Creating a Place of Distinction’.

The framework document revisits the headlines from the 2015 Vision, questioning whether we are on track and challenging stakeholders to think big.

We are operating in a complex and highly competitive environment, and there is no time to stand still if we are to grow the visitor economy. We need to find ways of appealing to new audiences and standing out in the market place; we need to ensure we have a quality and varied visitor experience, that we offer a warm welcome, provide ‘World Class’ customer service, and generally exceed the expectations of our customers.

Please click here to download a copy of the framework and read about the challenges we face and where we see the priorities for taking the destination forward towards 2015.
