Hoof Cheshire Launch
Inspiring the Equine Industry
Bolesworth Castle provided the backdrop for the launch of the Hoof Cheshire Framework, with a vision for Cheshire and Warrington to boost local economic and social benefits through the expansion of the equine industry and maximising the equestrian legacy opportunities.
Representatives from over 40 organisations, including Reaseheath College, the British Equestrian Federation and the Riding for the Disabled Association heard about the initiative’s objectives which include:
- Enhance the local economy through expenditure on riding, spectator events, tourism and trade products
- Provide a stronger voice for lobbying, for issues such as access routes, event requirements, planning issues
- Embrace the inspiration and profile of the equestrian industry provided by London 2012 to promote riding and equestrian sport, with the aim of significantly increasing and broadening participation and equestrian related activity in Cheshire
- Develop and position Cheshire as the leading destination for ‘all things equine’, achieving national and international recognition
