Helping your business get the training it needs to succeed.
The Train to Gain Brokerage Service is provided by Business Link under contract to the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). The service is to help businesses understand and source the training they need to succeed by offering impartial, flexible and responsive advice that is free of charge. The aim is to develop workforce skills and ensure that training is delivered to meet the needs of your organisation.
The service can help you improve your productivity and competitiveness by
ensuring your staff have got the right skillsto do the job. It will:
• Provide a diagnostic to establish any skills gaps that exist in your business
• Identify the training needs that will fill the gaps now and in the future
• Help you meet your skills requirements by assisting you to choose the most suitable training and training provider
• Ensure you get the best value for money from your investment in training
Train to Gain provides access to fully funded, partially funded and full cost
training depending on the eligibility of the employer and their employees which
includes:
• Free training could be available for employees undertaking Skills for Life and their first, full Level 2 qualification
• Funding for training to help eligible employees gain Level 3 qualifications
• Information on local training funding details
Employers with less than 50 employees may be able to access a contribution towards wages for time that staff are on their training.
