The Cheshire DMS system enables all tourism businesses and organisations to share and distribute live information. All information is shared in one database and can be updated instantly. This data is then distributed through an infinite number of channels, including TICs, kiosks, websites (including VisitBritain), contact centres and print and at all levels - countywide, regionally, nationally and internationally. The main benefit to all is to input/update once - use many times.
Our DMS has great potential as it will change the way we manage our key business process. The DMS stores, updates and accesses a vast variety of tourism data, including:-

• product information, images, accommodation availability levels, descriptions, contacts , videos
• tourism statistics, trends, visitor figures, research
• suppliers and resources
• print stock and fulfilment
• visitor information, feedback and activity
• marketing information, special offers, campaign information, maps

All this information will become available to the visitor, allowing the DMS to offer improved services via a variety of digital information media. As the information held on the DMS is driven by a live database, information can be personalised and targeted. The database can be used easily promote or distribute information concerning a forthcoming event, for example, via the website.
