Conference Bureau

Chester & Cheshire Conference Desk merged with Visit Chester & Cheshire on the 30th March 2007.  The merger was a significant milestone for tourism in the destination and will strengthen the regions position to enable Chester & Cheshire to reap a larger share of an economy worth £620 million to the North West. 

A year on, the bureau has achieved great things with £4.4 million worth of events (Economic Impact Value) taking place across the destination in 2008/09, new on-the-road sales activity and a much wider focus on strategic profile and familiarisation visits it is an exciting time for business tourism.

During the coming year, the team will be focusing on generating new conference business for the destination, developing the ease of on-line conference bookings and increasing the number of familiarstion visits.
