About Chester Festivals

Chester Festivals is a new organisation funded by the Chester City Council, Cheshire County Council, Arts Council England North West and the private sector. Chester Festivals will focus on four main areas through its mission and aims.

These are:
1. artistic development of the cultural sector in Chester
2. raising the reputation of Chester and encouraging buy in from domestic and global markets
3. the development of the communities through education and regeneration, and
4. economic development

Broadly speaking Chester Festivals will work towards these aims by seeking opportunities as an umbrella organisation – encouraging investments in the sector, creating opportunities for our partners and delivering joint marketing opportunities and box office facilities (all of which communicate strategically to the people of Cheshire and Chester and further afield).

More specifically it offers in depth artistic development, sponsorships and marketing assistance and guidance for particular festivals and events - leading to a strengthened events and festivals sector.
