Our aim is to continue to develop and increase the vale and volume of business tourism secured into Chester & Cheshire.  We will continue to strive to position the region as a leading UK conference destination, achieving national and international recognition.

During 2010/11 Visit Chester & Cheshire Business Tourism will be undertaking the following marketing activities:

Cross Sector Activity

  • Print and distribution of 2000 conference directories
  • www.meetinchesterandcheshire.com as call to action on all marketing materials
    PDF version of Visit Chester & Cheshire conference directory downloadable from website
  • PR agency commissioned to deliver structured business tourism campaign
  • Regular hosted client site visits (post bid submission, prior to confirmation)
  • Presence at International CONFEX - limited opportunity for stand partners at CONFEX in February 2011 - contact the team for further details
  • ITCM - 4 page feature in September & October 2010 and advert in November edition
  • Conference News - destination adverts in May, September, November and February 2011 with banner adverts on website throughout the year
  • Destination feature in Meetings & Incentive Travel - November 2010 - readership 16, 469 with advertising in 6 editions throughout the year as marketing campaign
  • Hospitality & Events North destinations feature - September 2010 with advertising in publication and banner advert on website throughout the year as marketing campaign
  • England's Heritage Cities marketing consortium representing Chester at IMEX and EIBTM, targeting the international market www.conferencesinengland.com
