Quality Standards

Visit Chester and Cheshire's vision is by 2015 our sub-region is home to a range of quality destinations and experiences that people go out of their way to be part of.

To help to achieve this VCC support VisitBritain's assessed only policy and therefore require all accommodation providers to participate in one or more of the National Quality Assurance Schemes operated by VisitBritain (through Quality in Tourism) or the AA.

We are also keen supporters of the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS) and actively encourage our attractions to take part in this scheme. VCC will contribute a very generous proportion of both the joining and assessment fees for the first three years participation in VAQAS.

The display of a recognised national rating offers reassurance, and provides confidence to customers that their chosen accommodation or venue will meet certain recognised standards.
