Destination Management Plan
The Destination Management Plan is a short-term action plan for the sub-regional visitor economy that covers a three year period and is updated annually.
The latest plan covers the period 2008-2011, taking into account progress, developments and new opportunities arising since the last plan for Cheshire & Warrington was issued in 2007.
While it has been produced by Visit Chester & Cheshire, it is not a VCC business plan. It has been developed in consultation with stakeholders and is intended to be used by everyone as a ‘live action plan’ to drive progress for the sub-regional visitor economy.
It prioritises a limited number of actions and projects that stakeholders collectively feel offer the best prospects to increase the competitiveness of the sub-region in an increasingly crowded world of destinations seeking to attract visitors.
